David Cooper

Brooklyn-born David Elmo Cooper discovered his passion for comic books and graffiti at a young age. After earning his BFA from Pratt Institute, he built a successful career as a photo director, illustrator, and educator. David serves on the Board of Directors for the Society of Illustrators and is the former VP of the Society of Publication Designers. He is the husband of Jessica and father of two daughters who often join him in the studio to create their own colorful masterpieces. His work has been honored by The Art Directors Club, Communication Arts, American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators and 3×3 Magazine, reflecting a lifelong commitment to the craft of visual storytelling and the vibrant creative community that supports and inspires him every day.
