Biography
Daniel de las Heras is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute and a PhD candidate at UCM in Media, Advertising & Public Relations. Holding a BFA in Fashion Design and an M.A. in Contemporary Culture, his research examines how visual representations of clothing and fashion shape and redefine meanings. By integrating insights from fashion studies, gender studies, and material/visual culture, he explores the dynamic interplay between material culture and its visual representation. He has over 8 years of academic teaching, coordination, and research experience as well as industry experience working in fashion brands like Zara, DelPozo, Esaú Yori and Bode.
