David Marcinkowski, Associate Director of Academic Computing at Pratt Manhattan, passed away on May 4, 2020, of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and their seven-year-old daughter, Zoe.
David worked at Pratt for more than 20 years, both as a faculty and a staff member. He taught courses in the Associate Degree Department, most recently in Mobile App Design, UI/UX, Mobile Gaming, and Object-Oriented Programming. He was also instrumental in developing the AOS Game Design degree. For those who were fortunate enough to know him, he was a larger-than-life individual who had a booming voice and an infectious laugh. His colleagues in the IT Division and in the School of Art counted on his generous spirit and willingness to listen and help those around him. He will be sorely missed.
