The image is a purple banner with white text and graphics for an event sponsored by the Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute, Pratt Institute, and the Center for Equity and Inclusion. The left side features a stylized portrait of Shirley Chisholm surrounded by rays, symbolizing her impactful legacy. The center displays the Pratt Institute logo, and the right side shows the logo for the Center for Equity and Inclusion. Below these, four white chairs are lined up, suggesting a panel or discussion format.

A Critical Conversations Event

The Shirley Chisholm Cultural Institute (SCCI)’s purpose is to preserve the legacy of Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm through the initiatives cultivated during her public service career with 21st century activism and innovation. This collaborative pop-up will be an opportunity for Pratt community members to learn more about the SCCI and internship opportunities, and to register to vote and win CEI swag.

This event is part of Critical Conversations: creating space for and educating one another about our multiple cultural contexts, activism, civil discourse, and academic engagement.
