Pratt Shows: Saturday Art School Open Studios

May 2, 2026 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Location Shared Upon RSVP

A composite graphic made of three overlapping circular photographs on a black background. Each circle shows art students working in a studio setting. In one, students draw at tables while a person sketches carefully on paper. In another, a student works on a detailed drawing at a desk with reference materials nearby. In the third, a person presents a sculptural piece to others in a classroom filled with shelves and supplies.

Open Studios in the Saturday Art School showcases the teaching of seniors and graduate students in the culminating clinical experience: Teaching in the Saturday Art School. Students integrate theory and practice through developing and teaching a 10-week K-12 lesson sequence in visual arts. It also offers an opportunity for student-teachers to learn how to interact with children’s parents and guardians in a public event to celebrate the creative achievements of children and to learn how to conceptualize and realize their curriculum by producing professional materials that can be applied to their future careers in art and design education.

Friends and family of registered participants, prospective ADE graduate students, and Pratt Foundation students only.

Pratt Shows is a series of public exhibitions and presentations by Pratt Institute’s graduating students in 30+ different fields, now through May.
