Pratt Public Sphere Geodesic Dome Build-Up

November 6, 2026 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Rose Garden, 200 Willoughby Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205

Build a geodesic dome and explore sustainable design, ecological experimentation, and community resilience through hands-on collaboration.

Join us for a hands-on geodesic dome build-up at the Pratt Public Sphere, a living laboratory for sustainability, climate justice, and community resilience at Pratt Institute.

Working collaboratively, participants will engage with the assembly of a geodesic dome while exploring sustainable design, low-impact construction, and the relationship between the built environment and ecological systems. The activity offers an opportunity to learn through making, exchange ideas across disciplines, and consider how creative, community-centered spaces can support environmental awareness and resilience.

The Pratt Public Sphere brings together art, architecture, design, and environmental practice to explore practical responses to climate and social challenges. Through collective building and experimentation, this event invites participants to experience sustainability as something we can actively create together.

Location:
Drop in any time between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Held outdoors in the Pratt Rose Garden, weather permitting.
