A Critical Conversations Event

On Tuesday, April 4, 1967, exactly one year before his assassination, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a speech titled “Beyond Vietnam–A Time to Break Silence” at the Riverside Church in Harlem. In it he stated: “There is at the outset a very obvious and almost facile connection between the war in Vietnam and the struggle I, and others, have been waging in America.”

Join us for a conversation with Rev. Mira Sawlani-Joyner, the Minister of Justice, Advocacy, & Change at Riverside Church, moderated by Campus Ministry’s Muslim Interfaith Advisor, Imam Adnan Rokadia, to engage in a rich discussion on how we can advance the legacy of Dr. King when we recognize that our liberations are intertwined.
