Crafting Community / Making Meaning Session #6: Finding Joy
November 6, 2025 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
East Reading Room (Library, 2nd Floor)

A Critical Conversations Event
Creative practices help us process uncertainty, build community, and find new perspectives on challenges. In this series, we’ll be engaging in various community building activities and creative exercises (e.g., collaging, storytelling, origami, and more). We’ll meet in person in the East Reading Room (Library, 2nd Floor) on select Thursdays from 12pm to 2pm.
While we hope to build a core community that grows together over the eight sessions, we welcome faculty to join us for any individual session that speaks to their current needs. Each gathering is designed to be meaningful whether you’re attending for the first time or the eighth.

We center hope and possibility, sharing what brings us joy in our work and lives. This session reminds us of our deeper purposes and the sources of renewal that sustain us.
This event is part of Critical Conversations: creating space for and educating one another about our multiple cultural contexts, activism, civil discourse, and academic engagement.
