Pratt's 2015 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 15, 2015. Please note that there will be TWO ceremonies this year: a 10 AM ceremony for graduate degree recipients, and a 2 PM ceremony for undergraduate degree recipients.
Both ceremonies will be held in the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
The Initial Student information packet is available as a PDF. This packet was also mailed to students’ local addresses.
Remember: Graduation and Commencement are separate events. You must complete your graduation application in order to graduate.
Commencement and Graduation are separate events. Participation in the Commencement Ceremony does NOT mean you have graduated. Commencement exercises are ceremonial and symbolic. Your participation in the Commencement Ceremony should not be confused with your actual graduation from the Institute. Students do not officially graduate from Pratt Institute until they have applied for graduation and completed all degree requirements as defined in their degree audit. They must remain in good academic standing. Students with a hold on their record will graduate but they may not be eligible to receive their diploma until all holds have been resolved.

Quick Answer Guide
Who can participate in the May 2015 ceremony?

Students who will complete their requirements in Summer 2015 or Fall 2015, but who want to walk in the 2015 Ceremony rather than wait for their proper 2016 Ceremony, may fill out a Permission to Walk form.
