There are several events that celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026. In addition to ceremonies and receptions, multicultural and affinity celebrations allow graduates to celebrate the cultural intersections in their lives and honor the communities to which they belong. These celebrations are meant to increase students’ sense of belonging and community. These celebrations are open to anyone in the Pratt community.
The annual Awards Convocation will recognize students for their academic achievements and service during their time at Pratt. A reception will follow in front of the ARC on the Brooklyn campus. This event is by invitation only.

Pratt’s Lavender Celebration is an annual ceremony to recognize, acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and contributions of our graduating LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, plus) students.

International students across all programs and levels of study, and up to two of their family members or supporters, are warmly invited to attend the International Student and Family Celebration hosted by the Office of International Affairs. This event is an opportunity to honor the unique journeys of our graduating international students as they reach this major milestone in the U.S. Please indicate any accommodations when RSVPing. Pratt defines First-Generation students as any student who does not have a parent(s)/guardian with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
This celebration will feature a welcome from some First-Generation staff, recognition of the graduates, and presentation of the teal and white cords that are to be worn at Commencement. Please wear festive attire to the celebration, as there will be plenty of opportunities for photos!
