There are several events that celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2027. In addition to ceremonies and receptions, multicultural and affinity celebrations allow graduates to celebrate the cultural intersections in their lives and honor the communities to which they belong. These celebrations are meant to increase students’ sense of belonging and community. These celebrations are open to anyone in the Pratt community.

- Learn valuable information about the Commencement Ceremony;
- Enter a raffle for a free cap and gown;
- Join the Class of 2027 group photo
- Sign a special Class of 2027 banner;
- Take your senior portrait with Island Photography: click here to schedule an appointment (appointments will also be available at Grad Fair this Spring!);
- Join the yearbook committee and learn how to submit yearbook content;
- Learn about opportunities offered by the Alumni Engagement office; and
- Check out class rings from Herff Jones.

- Pick up your pre-ordered regalia (cap and gown);
- Pick up your honors cords and awards convocation tickets;
- Purchase your class rings;
- Decorate your graduation cap! (Materials provided);
- Pick up a free yearbook;
- Get in-person help with your commencement tickets;
- Reserve a time slot for your senior portrait, taken by Island Photography (Brooklyn, Manhattan);
- Meet with IT for information about post-graduation email and program discounts;
- Speak with Alumni Engagement and Financial Services to ensure you are ready for post-college; and
- Faculty: pick up your rented regalia and faculty pass.
Did you start your time at Pratt with a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge during Orientation? Close out your time here by doing it again, but this time at sunset! President Bronet and other staff will join you as you reflect on your time at Pratt.
The annual Awards Convocation will recognize students for their academic achievements and service during their time at Pratt. A reception will follow in front of the ARC on the Brooklyn campus. This event is by invitation only.
Pratt’s Lavender Celebration is an annual ceremony to recognize, acknowledge and celebrate the achievements and contributions of our graduating LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, plus) students.
This joyful occasion will feature:
- a welcome from Justin Kelley, Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students
- recognition of the graduates
- presentation of rainbow cords that are to be worn at Commencement the next day

International students across all programs and levels of study, and up to two of their family members or supporters, are warmly invited to attend the International Student and Family Celebration hosted by the Office of International Affairs. This event is an opportunity to honor the unique journeys of our graduating international students as they reach this major milestone in the U.S. Please indicate any accommodations when RSVPing. Pratt defines First-Generation students as any student who does not have a parent(s)/guardian with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
This celebration will feature a welcome from some First-Generation staff, recognition of the graduates, and presentation of the teal and white cords that are to be worn at Commencement. Please wear festive attire to the celebration, as there will be plenty of opportunities for photos!
