Professor of Industrial Design Constantin Boym and Michael Yarinsky, BArch ’11, have work featured in The New York Times article 8 Design Products Inspired by Nature. “For Constantin and Laurene Boym, the ready-made is a way to shake up people’s views of familiar things. Using bark shed by sycamores and other trees near their summer home in the Hudson Valley, the designers have created sculptural LED lamps and clocks with hand-painted embellishments. ‘Very little needs to be added to appreciate their beauty,’ Boym said about the objects in the series, named Artifacts.”
