President of the Black Student Union Mekhi DeLeon, BA History of Art and Design (with a double minor in Black Studies and Museum and Gallery Practices) ’27, was awarded the 2026 Margaret T. G. Burroughs and Charles H. Wright Fellowship by the Association of African American Museums (AAAM). The fellowship recognizes two emerging museum professionals who demonstrate “excellence and dedication in the interpretation and preservation of African American and African diaspora history, art, and culture.”
