Elise LaGraize, MS Historic Preservation ’26, received the 2026 Jeffrey Kroessler Student Research Award for her thesis “What Remains: Preserving Industrial Memory at the Lidgerwood Site,” which combines “heritage interpretation, speculative design, and community-informed programming [to demonstrate] how redevelopment can be a preservation tool for industrial heritage in urban waterfront neighborhoods facing gentrification pressures.”
