Assistant Professor in the School of Information Rhys Dreeszen Bowman presented a poster at the National LGBTQ+ Health Conference: “‘I have a huge community where I feel accepted and loved’: Trans joy as a protective health factor,” this past August in Chicago. They are also presenting “‘Any Act of Joy You Feel as a Trans Person Is Inherently Rebellious’: Explorations of Trans Joy in a Southern Context” at the Queer as Method: Transdisciplinary Approaches to Art, Research and Resistance conference.
