FVID-306 Advanced Cinematography

This studio course develops advanced understanding of the professional practice of cinematography by deepening technical fluency with exposure tools, lenses, camera movement and lighting as well as composition, framing, and aesthetics. Through a comprehensive series of filmed exercises, students will build on their foundational knowledge to develop their understanding of professional practice as a director of photography, refine their visual voice and learn to translate a director’s vision into intentional cinematic choices.
