Joe Mizzi + Students

Students of African and Latinx descent, as well as the general student body of Pratt, benefit from the myriad of high quality programs and events BAP organizes. BAP events gather and galvanize alumni, students, the Pratt community, trustees, corporations and friends. The high caliber of professionals, distinguished individuals and leaders within the BAP network support the prestige and unique profile of Pratt, and funnels new and important resources, both intellectually and financially, into the Institute.

To engage new and current students and alumni BAP hosts events for Orientation Day and Alumni Day and participates in events with other departments and organizations, such as Student Affairs, HEOP, Art and Design, Art and Design Education, and Alumni Relations.

Orientation Day 2016

CAREER DAY

For more than two decades BAP’s annual Career Day has brought together alumni and local high school students. During the half-day event students hear from alumni of African and Latino descent who have made great strides in their fields, learn what Pratt has to offer in various disciplines, and enjoy lunch and quality time with alumni and BAP staff. Career Day is held in March.
