A Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) is a classroom that has been equipped with multimedia devices to aid in teaching and presenting material to students. There are currently 32 TECs on the Brooklyn Campus as a result of a partnership between the Office of the Provost and Information Technology, with support from Academic Computing.

TECs provide a consistent and reliable technology platform that meets the needs of today's faculty and learners. There are two models, Lectern and Desk. Independent of the model, each TEC room is equipped with identical equipment.

The TEC set-up includes an LCD projector, a DVD/VCR player, a dual-boot MAC running Windows or OSX, laptop connection with internet access, and a document camera and Apple connection for iPad, iPod, or iPhone devices. All the inputs are controlled through a simple-to-navigate AMX touch panel.

If the classroom equipment is not working correctly, contact the Information Technology Service Desk at 718.636.3765 or email services@pratt.edu.
