Returning Students

Students returning to the Pratt campus after a leave of absence, or after being readmitted need to apply for a new SEVIS I-20 because the one they had before was terminated. This includes students who may have been on a leave of absence but returned to study online, but now are planning to return to study in person. 
 
The “Guide for Returning” at the bottom of this page contains all of the information on how to apply for the I-20. 

Return Fall or Spring

SEVIS I-20 forms are issued only for the Fall or Spring semesters. International students who had a LOA or are Readmitted can only return for the Fall or Spring semester, not for the summer term.

Deadline to Apply for the I-20
  • June 1 to return in Fall 
  • November 1 to return in Spring
Holds

Check your student portal for any holds which you need to remove applying for the I-20 or registering for classes. You will see a red box in the top right hand corner with the type of hold and who to contact.

For OIA Hold: The OIA hold will state: “OIA Hold: please email oia@pratt.edu with your name and Pratt ID number.” To remove the hold, contact oia@pratt.edu. Please include your Pratt ID in the email.

For a Health Hold: to remove the hold, contact Martha Cedarholm, Senior Student Advocate and Care Coordinator (mcedarho@pratt.edu)

For a Bursar Hold: to remove the hold, contact Student Financial Services at sfs@ajohn515

OneKey

If you haven’t logged in with your one key in a while, it may be deactivated.

If you find it is deactivated, contact the Service Desk to get assistance: services@pratt.edu, tel. +1-718-636-3765

If your leave of absence expiration date has passed, you will need to contact the Registrar’s Office to reactivate your status. reg@ajohn515
