Come Home: Hold onto your Light

"What if a simple gesture of holding a hand could become a bridge between comfort, care, and technology?

Come Home is an interactive sensory comfort light designed for people living with dementia that explores how assistive technology can support emotional wellbeing and caregiving without relying on constant surveillance. Individuals living with dementia frequently experience anxiety, confusion, and sensory disorientation, while caregivers face significant emotional and logistical strain in providing continuous monitoring. This project investigates how technology can reduce that burden while creating moments of reassurance and connection for the user ethically."

A person is manipulating a white, glove-covered hand model, potentially interacting with a device or app. In the background, there is a sign with instructions to scan a QR code, download the StudyFetch app, and access specific content. A yellow string bracelet adorns the person's wrist, and a reflective bracelet is also visible.
