The School of Information Google Groups are our primary venues for disseminating information to the student and alumni community. Messages sent to the school-wide Google Groups include announcements about upcoming student and alumni events, the school newsletter, course registration deadlines and instructions, and other messages deemed relevant to our community. Job and internship postings, as well as program-specific announcements and events should be directed to one or more of the dedicated program listservs.

How to Send a Message

  • If you’re not a member of the group, contact the School of Information office at si@pratt.edu, and someone will forward a message on your behalf
  • Members of the group can send a message to the entire School of Information community by addressing the email to prattischool-all@pratt.edu

How to Subscribe

  1. Visit the Pratt Institute School of Information All Students Google Group page
  2. Click “Contact the Group Owners and Managers,” and explain why you would like to join. Generally only students, alums and faculty are permitted to join.

How to Change your Message Delivery Settings

  1. Visit the Pratt Institute School of Information All Students Google Group page
  2. Click the “My Membership Settings” link
  3. Select “Subscription” from the drop down
  4. Click the dropdown menu next to “Email delivery preference” and choose one of the following options:
    • (Default) Each email: You’ll get an email anytime someone posts to the group.
    • Digest: You’ll get one email for every 25 posts to the group sent daily.
    • Abridged: Summaries of up to 150 messages are combined into single emails and sent daily.
    • No Email: You won’t get emails, but you can still see posts by logging in to Google Groups and clicking on that group. 

How to Unsubscribe

  1. Send an email from the subscribed email address to prattischool-all+unsubscribe@pratt.edu

  1. Visit the Pratt Institute School of Information All Students Google Group page
  2. Click the “My membership settings” link
  3. Select “Leave group” button
