Willem de Kooning Academy provides students with a wide range of contemporary and cutting-edge courses in art, design, and media. The academy is part of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (RUAS), a multi-sectoral and dynamic institute for higher education. As a leading international academy for art education, WdKA graduates have used their talent and skills to transform disciplines and pioneer new ways of creating and making. The academy has thirteen majors, and their graduation profiles support students in either autonomous practices, social practices, or commercial practices.
