A Pratt industrial design student team including Jessica Smith, Charlotte Böhning, and Mary Lempres was a runner-up in the Biodesign Sprint presented by Google with the Biodesign Challenge. Their project, BI/O, uses living microorganisms and stored carbon for compostable external hardware for a Google Nest Mini.
