Pratt Institute has again been ranked one of the country’s top colleges for animation in the Animation School Rankings published by Animation Career Review, a comprehensive source of information on animation, game design, graphic design, and digital arts schools and careers.
Pratt is ranked seventh nationally in the 2023 Animation School Rankings, placing in the top four percent of schools considered. In addition, Pratt is ranked seventh in the country among private schools and colleges, third on the East Coast, and second in New York. The 2023 rankings also list Pratt fifth among schools offering an animation-related MFA and seventh among schools offering an animation-related BFA.
Animation Career Review considered 199 colleges across the country with animation programs, basing the rankings on criteria including academic reputation, admissions selectivity, employment data, breadth and depth of program faculty, financial value, and graduation rate.
The rankings highlight the Digital Arts Department’s “small class sizes, a collaborative environment, state-of-the-art studios and classrooms, and courses taught by experienced artists in the field.”
