The Howard Greenberg Gallery is currently holding an exhibition featuring the work of Charles Pratt, Jr. (1926-1976), whose great-grandfather Charles Pratt founded the Institute, and former Pratt professors Arthur Freed (b. 1936) and David Vestal (1924-2013).  The exhibition, titled Image Gallery Redux: 1959-1962, is a display of art once featured in The Image Gallery, a short-lived but legendary Manhattan photography gallery. When the Image Gallery was founded, photography was largely considered a method of documentation, rather than an art.

Image Gallery Redux: 1959-1976 closes February 22. The Howard Greenberg Gallery is located at 41 East 57th Street, Suite 1406 in Manhattan, and is open 10 AM – 6 PM Tuesday through Saturday.
