Legends 2025 to Honor Jeremy Scott and Mavis Wiggins

Jeremy Scott is an American designer and creative director. He consciously breaks with fashion conventions and has created a blend of high fashion and pop iconography. His designs are both fearless and whimsical.

Scott grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and subsequently attended Pratt Institute in New York City, graduating in 1996 with a degree in fashion design. He then relocated to Paris, where he debuted his eponymous line in 1997 to great fanfare, winning both awards and international accolades from his debut.

The Jeremy Scott label quickly gained acclaim, notoriety, and a devout, diverse following. As creative director of his own label, the star designer became a permanent fixture in the fashion industry with runway shows in Paris, London, and New York. In 2002, Scott returned to the USA, settling in Los Angeles. The city remains his primary place of residence to this day and an endless source of inspiration.

Scott was appointed creative director at Moschino in 2013. From his triumphant debut Milan fashion collection inspired by fast food and fast fashion, Scott not only turned Moschino on its ear but the entire fashion industry. Moschino quickly became the brand to be. Celebrities, influencers, and legions of fans all clamored to be part of the Moschino world. The New York Times dubbed Scott “fashion’s last rebel.”

At the same time, Scott has also shown true vision with his own label as well as his iconic partnership with Adidas that has lasted now for over two decades. Long before collaborations became standard practice in the fashion world, the Jeremy Scott + Adidas designs were a forebear to fashion’s love affair with sportswear. Scott’s prolific design acumen led him to collaborate with many diverse companies, from Mercedes-Benz, MAC Cosmetics, Disney, Longchamp, Barbie, Swatch, H&M, Ugg, Cybex, and The Simpsons, to name a few. In 2019, Scott received special recognition from Anna Wintour at The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute in New York City. The exhibition’s theme was “Camp,” and something that Scott embodies like no other, and hence the designer had more looks featured on display at this show than any other designer.

Scott has dressed countless international superstars, including Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie, Katy Perry, Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, A$AP Rocky, and Rihanna.

Scott’s design world has been recognized in a number of multimedia projects, exhibitions at the Louvre, Brooklyn Museum, and V&A in London, and publications including a Rizzoli monograph, an Assouline book, a documentary titled The People’s Designer, and a 150 looks retrospective exhibition at the Nerman Museum in Kansas City.

Mavis Wiggins served as the managing executive and creative director, interior design, at TPG Architecture for 14 years, where she helped shape the spaces they created as well as the culture and vision of the firm. Her contributions transformed the firm’s approach to design, to mentoring the next generation of talent, and to elevating the quality for clients.

She spearheaded award-winning projects and made meaningful change through mentorship. Before joining TPG, Wiggins had already established herself as a design powerhouse, helping redefine what it means to create spaces that inspire and connect. At TPG, she took that passion to new heights, steering the firm into new creative territories and helping to reimagine what’s possible in workplace design.

Over the years, Wiggins has received recognition for her talents from organizations including the IIDA, CoreNet Global, and was named Interior Design Magazine’s Best Interior Designer: Corporate Interiors during the 2020 Best of Year design awards. In addition, Wiggins was inducted into the IIDA College of Fellows in 2021—the highest honor given by the IIDA to its professional members—and Interior Design’s 2022 Hall of Fame.
