Forbes Magazine, a bi-weekly magazine with a circulation of almost 1 million, has included communications design alumna Amanda Clelland and industrial design alumni Sam Cochran and Kiel Mead in its inaugural “30 Under 30” issue. The magazine, which will be available on newsstands January 3, focuses on 30 influential players under age 30 in each of a dozen different industries. Clelland is included on the issue’s Media list, and Cochran and Mead are included on the issue’s Art & Design list, which is now viewable online.

Cochran and his company, Sustainably Minded Interactive Technology (SMIT), are part of the Pratt Design Incubator for Sustainable Innovation, which supports entrepreneurial talents of designers, artists, and architects — including several Pratt alumni — by providing them with resources to launch business. SMIT connects and provides for people in pursuit of a zero footprint lifestyle by creating a rich portfolio of products and a dense network of relationships.
