Endowed Professorships
Endowed professorships are among the most significant and time-honored academic distinctions. Designed to recognize scholarly excellence and the role that stellar academicians play in creating new knowledge and advancing their institutions and society at large, endowed chairs offer the long-term institutional commitment and recognition required to attract, and retain, a visionary academic and practitioner in the field; provide funding for the position in perpetuity, thereby recognizing and fostering academic and creative excellence; ensure support for groundbreaking research, creative projects, and pioneering academic initiatives that will benefit Pratt students and humanity overall; and confer honor on the chair holder.
