Xinyi Li is an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Communications Design Department at Pratt Institute. She practices design research and develops visual forms and interactive experience to express arguments, propose questions, and probe thinking. Prior to arriving at Pratt, she was a part of the Center for Digital Humanities at Princeton University, where she collaborated with scholars to design user experience and visuals for Digital Humanities projects, worked with CDH staffs on issues of interdisciplinary collaborative research and developed design collaboration process, and taught workshops providing design and thinking tools to facilitate meaningful visual production for humanistic knowledge. She has given talks about her work at the Digital Humanities Conference, AIGA Converge Conference, AIGA/NY’s Fresh Grad, and has conducted workshops at Pratt Free School. Through her practice, she has engaged with design research for healthcare system at Diagram, and interactive design at Apple and Intel.
