Sarah Serpas is passionate about science and people, and strives to merge quantitative analysis with on-the-ground community knowledge throughout all of her work. As a senior planner at Regional Plan Association
(an urban research and advocacy nonprofit) she researches ways to create more equitable cities at intersection between planning, arts, culture, and health. Sarah has also worked for several organizations in New York, including the NYC Environmental Justice Alliance, the Center for Urban Pedagogy and the Pratt Center for Community Development. Originally from Midland, Texas, Sarah is also very interested in the ways that volatile economic drivers (such as the oil business) impact the ways cities plan for their futures.
