Sahar Khraibani is a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, and writer from Beirut, currently based in New York City. Her work has been shown in Berlin, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Amman, New York, Los Angeles, and Beirut and deals with the ways in which environments influence creative output and pedagogy. She is a frequent contributor to Degree Critical and has published an illustrated anthology titled “Loving And Leaving Beirut,” during an artist residency at Beit Waraq in 2017. Her writing has appeared in Hyperallergic, Outlook, and is forthcoming in Bidayat, The Outpost, Durian Days, among others. In 2014, she was nominated for the AREEN Project Award of Excellence in Graphic Design. She is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. She received her BFA in Graphic Design with honors from the American University of Beirut, and her MFA in Art Writing & Criticism from the School of Visual Arts in New York. She is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute.
