Registered architect in the state of New York; in 2000, founded Baumann Architecture, an architectural design studio with interests ranging from competitions to urban infill to global; Baumann Architecture has been recognized internationally and widely published, winning the prestigious New Practices New York Award in 2008; has been teaching architectural design in New York City since 1998; founding officer of SITREP, a New York City-based “design tank” dedicated to the study of urbanity through architectural research and design; board member of the Institute for Public Architecture.
