Mirland Terlonge is a multidisciplinary artist and community organizer from Miami, FL. She received her BFA in Painting from the University of Florida and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Pratt Institute. She is currently an Innovative Cultural Advocacy Fellow with the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute where she is conducting research to assist her in creating a Cultural Equity Plan for the city of New York. She is also collaborating with women seniors at YWCA Brooklyn on community visual and performing arts projects inspired by the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Terlonge has exhibited at Smackmellon Gallery, Brooklyn,NY; ARC Gallery, Chicago, IL; Intermedia Arts, Minneapolis, MN; and The City Library, Corrine and Jack Sweet branch, Salt Lake City, Utah. Terlonge was a Nominee for the Rema Hort Mann Foundation Grant and a recipient of the Franklin Furnace Fund in 2015.
