Biography

Michele Busiri Vici is Principal and Founder of Space4Architecture (S4A). He has 20 years of experience in Architecture in New York City. He received his Masters in Architecture from La Sapienza University in Rome in 1995. As principal of Space4, he is the lead designer of all S4A's projects. Michele’s interest and experience ranges through different scales and typologies, from large scale hospitality and residential buildings to houses, interiors, retail and custom furniture. He has managed numerous projects from pre-design stage through final construction completion throughout the country, with day to day coordination and management. His non hierarchical approach to design enables the office he leads to create architecture free of stylistic limitations and firmly grounded in context. Michele's previous teaching experiences include Enclosure Design as part of the Integrated Design course at Columbia University. Michele is a frequent studio crit at Pratt, Columbia University and the Rhode Island School of Design.
