Biography

Professor Dimitriu has worked with Rem Koolhaas/OMA; Peter Eisenman; Colin Rowe; and Simon Gavina/Carlo Scarpa in Bologna, Italy; founded USA Institute, USA Books, and his own firm in 1978; projects have received gold, silver, and bronze medals, honorable mentions, and citations including AIA NY First Honor Award; Prof. Hon. C. Ion Mincu University, Hon. Advising Prof. Inje University, Korea. and taught at 15 universities in three continents; was a Senior Fulbright Scholar in Europe; was member, Scientific Committee Olivetti Foundation; founding member, Pamphlet Architecture and Island School of Architecture; founded New York Architects volume series; was Senior Editor for three European professional magazines in Italy and Romania; over 200 students under his supervision have won national and international awards. Dr. Dimitriu is Professor Bene Merenti with "Ion Mincu" University for Architecture and Urbanism in Bucharest/Romania, and Distinguished Honorary Advising Professor with Inje University, Busan/Gimhae, in South Korea.
