I have been with Pratt since 2014, teaching 19th century art, 20th century art, and global surveys. Historiography is a major driving force behind both my research and my teaching, analyzing the circulation of ideas and interpretations of art across time and place. My current research traces the legacy of revanchism in French and Scandinavian intellectual exchange, which will culminate with the publication of my book, Our Neighbor, Our Enemy: Anti-Germanism and Franco-Scandinavian Artistic Exchanges. My research has been funded by institutions including the American-Scandinavian Foundation, the Pittsburgh Foundation, Stony Brook University, and the Norway-America Association.
