Biography

Derek Haffar is a Brooklyn based artist and educator originally from New Paltz NY. He likes to describe himself as an ever emerging artist working in a variety of mediums that include traditional studio practices of two and three dimensional investigations, painting on canvas and casting in a range of materials. Currently he is working with mycelium and employing mold making and forming techniques to make it a viable alternative for foam and particle board applications, both base materials for package design and three dimensional design In general.
