Biography

Chris Arabadjis was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. Prior to earning an MFA at Pratt Institute, he studied physics for 14 years at SUNY Buffalo and UMass Amherst. Arabadjis’ work has been exhibited in New York, the metropolitan areas of Boston and San Francisco, as well as in Europe. Earlier this year his drawings were included in the exhibit Indra’s Net curated by Suzanne Kammin at Kathryn Markel Fine Arts, and last year he had a solo show at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn called Accidental Degeneracies. This past December he was interviewed for SciArt Initiative’s Colloquium Series, and last March his work was the subject of Steven Baris’ blog on the Expanded Diagram Project. He was also the featured artist on the Picks page of the online magazine The Ballpointer (vol. 6, no. 3). His drawings have been reproduced on the cover of several poetry collections and anthologies, and accompanying the article “Hidden Worlds of Fundamental Particles” in the magazine Physics Today (vol. 70, no. 09). He is currently the Head of Visual and Multimedia Resources in the Brooklyn Campus Library at Pratt Institute.
