Biography

Dalia Hamati AIA, LEED BD+C Delivering projects for large scale institutions such as NYU Langone (Tisch Hospital), the US Government (new embassy buildings in Nigeria and Turkey) and Northwestern University (New University Commons) over the better part of a decade at Ennead Architects, I have built expertise in the fundamental engagement of the civic realm as an integral part of the design process. The result is a strong commitment to a pluralistic mode of design, one that synthesizes many voices, embraces complexity and engages in meaningful dialog with its context. While at Ennead I pursued forward-thinking models of design practice through collaborations with Fast Company (Innovation Festival) as well as leading award-winning Enneadlab projects designing for resiliency at the water’s edge (FARROC) and in refugee settlements (re-thinking Refugees). Through this work I understood the wonderful potency that designer’s can effect by bringing our voices to the table at an early stage, and how finding the right questions to ask is the key to future-proofing our role as agents in the built environment.
