Alex Goldberg is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Interior Design and Integrative Courses at Pratt Institute. She is of the mind that interactions with the material world can enrich our understanding of the immaterial world. Her research practice is physical, personal, collaborative, and enhanced by site. Alex is currently testing the notion that coming together through making can help connect communities to universal truths and build empathy regardless of differences. She has participated in artist residency programs at Textile Arts Center, ProjectArt, and Slow Research Lab, as well as taught at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Parsons School of Design, and Village Community School. She has exhibited her work at the Hunterdon Art Museum, Spring Break Art Fair, Woskob Family Gallery, Gowanus Loft, Number 97, and Interface NY in addition to having her work featured in The International Journal of Interior Architecture + Spatial Design, The New York Textile Month Journal, and W Magazine. She is a currently a SUCCURRO Research Fellow.
