Eleanor is a researcher, designer, and educator. She advocates for environmental design that develops human well-being and addresses social justice. Past projects have included the design and evaluation of nature playscapes for early childhood settings and the study of independent movie theaters in New York City. Her current dissertation project "Between Home and Work: Boundaries and Negotiation in Home-Based Daycare" looks at how family day care providers manage and respond to their home environment.
