Biography

Steven Danielpour, AIA, CCS, LEED BD+C, WELL AP, is firmwide Director of Specifications, Senor Principal at HOK. Based in HOK's New York City office, with more than 35 years of technical experience in architectural design documentation. In his role, he oversees firmwide specifications initiatives, sets technical policy, conducts product research, and authors technical documents to ensure high quality design and technical project delivery. Steven heads HOK's Specifications Taskforce, is a member of HOK's Technical Board and Building Enclosure Knowledge Board. He employs technical oversight on projects from inception to completion, including materials research, technical documentation, QA/QC review, contract administration, sustainable design strategies and implementation, leadership in environmental energy design (LEED), technical training, mentoring and facilitation. Steven's recent significant projects include LaGuardia Airport Expansion, David Koch Ambulatory Care Center, LG Headquarters, SUNY Buffalo Science and Medical Center. His work history includes projects in Aviation + Transportation; Healthcare; Corporate Headquarters; Science +Technology; Commercial; Institutional; Higher Education, K-12; Banking, Trading + Financial Services; Sports; Commercial Interiors; and Hospitality Sectors. Adjunct professor at Pratt Manhattan Center for Continuing Education, Steven teaches Specifications Courses to Architects and Engineers required to maintain licensing. He conducts CDT training for the Manhattan Chapter of the CSI, and has lectured at Archispec, SpArc, D+D Summits, and Zach's World of Facades. As a Large Firm representative of the first AIA Provider's Council for Continuing Education, Steven helped set the policy for AIA Continuing Education.
