Workshop: Introduction to Statistical Analysis & Data Manipulation with RStudio

Many students in the MSLIS and MS in Data Analytics programs are required to learn about data analysis and assessment. One of the most useful tools (and it is free and open source) is RStudio, an IDE for the R statistical programming language. Not only will this workshop introduce students to the programming language of R, it will also introduce concepts around data manipulation (cleaning, sub-setting, visualizing) and statistical analysis (descriptive statistics, linear regression, hypothesis testing). This workshop is offered by School of Information alum Ellie Ransom, who is also a Science Library at Columbia University.
