The 2026 Material Lab Prize Exhibition Opening & Jury Announcement

Now in its seventh year, the Material Lab Prize is an annual design competition at Pratt that exhibits interdisciplinary student work involving material research, experimentation, and manipulation. Each year, our jury composed of designers and design professionals for whom craft and material research is central to their work.
At this event, the jury will evaluate the shortlisted projects and name the recipient of the 2026 Material Lab Prize.
The shortlisted projects will remain on view through to Saturday, October 17.
