Join Los Angeles–based novelist Matthew Specktor, renowned photographer James Welling, and Associate Professor of Photography Stephen Hilger in a conversation moderated by Photography Adjunct Professor Allen Frame on Hilger’s book In the Alley. The participants will discuss their connections to the architectural, artistic, literary and social visions of the city of Los Angeles through the lenses of their photography and writing, as well as independent photography publishing and the photography book as object.
