Pratt Sessions: MOS

February 12, 2026 6:15 PM – 8:15 PM

Higgins Hall Auditorium

A man and a woman sit side by side against a plain white wall. Both are dressed in dark blue work jackets. The man has short gray hair and glasses, while the woman has shoulder-length brown hair. They appear relaxed and are seated in front of a table with various architectural models and materials.

Pratt Sessions are a format for discourse at the Department of Graduate Architecture, Landscape, and Urban Design.

A modern house with a unique, sloped metallic roof design. The facade features large glass sliding doors that open to a spacious interior, showcasing a bright yellow seating area and a green kitchen area visible through the windows. A garden with colorful flowers, including lavender and pink blooms, is situated in the foreground, framed by gravel pathways and surrounding trees.

The sessions seek to refine and intensify the event-structures commonly found in the design academy. Whereas lectures desire general audiences for broad overviews or introductions, Pratt Sessions focus on just one piece of work by a single author or practice. Whereas juries convene faculty to critically engage student work at the end of a project, Pratt Sessions gathers colleagues to support the intellectual project of a figure we mutually admire.
