Pratt Sessions: Lucia Allais

Lucia Allais is a historian of architecture, technology, and politics in the modern period. She is an Associate Professor of architecture, and Director of the Temple Hoyne Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture, at Columbia University. She is the author of Designs of Destruction (2018) and many journal articles, and the co-editor of Architecture and Land In and Out of the Americas (2023) as well as the forthcoming After Concrete (2026). Allais was a founding member of the Aggregate Collaborative, and is an emeritus editor of Grey Room.
