Pratt Campus Experience

Pratt Institute invites you to join us for a Pratt Campus Experience—a one-day immersive event designed to introduce you to our campus, creative community, and academic offerings.

This program includes a guided tour of our Brooklyn campus, a group portfolio guidance session led by Undergraduate Admissions, and a hands-on workshop facilitated by a Pratt faculty member.

Pratt Campus Experience: Workshop Options

Students will choose one of the following three workshops during registration:

Figure Drawing:
Learn the foundational techniques of life drawing, including shading, proportion, and composition. This session will involve both quick sketches and more detailed drawings. Please note: a nude model will be present.

Embroidery:
Students learn the basics of embroidery including needle type and simple stitching techniques including backstitch, chain stitch, running stitch, and French knot. Students will become familiar with these techniques and leave with a baseball hat embroidered with a motif of their choice.

Risograph Printing:
Explore the basics of Risograph printing in Pratt’s Reprographics Lab. Students will experiment with layering color and texture to produce a unique Riso print of their own.

This event is open to the public.
Cost: $249 (Includes all instruction, materials, and supplies)

The day will include:

3. Portfolio Development Session with Admissions
4. Three-Hour Creative Workshop with a Pratt Faculty Member – no prior experience needed!

Workshop space is limited. Students must register in advance and select their preferred workshop during the registration process.
