Thomas discusses how the success of Danish design made it possible for a lot of people to fit their homes with modern furniture, lamps, textiles, tabletops, and more. This lecture explores this process and what Danish design actually is, through the lens of Thomas’ experience as a practitioner and writer about design. Thomas Dickson is an architect and industrial designer. His work and education includes degrees from the Royal Academy (1990), Denmark’s School of Journalism (1988), Art Center College of Design, Pasadena (1989). He has worked with DIS from 1993-97 and again since 2017.
