In honor of Women’s History Month, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and the Center for Equity and Inclusion (CEI) will host our “Artist Spotlight: Ladies First” event on Tuesday, March 19th, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM in the Katharine L. McKenna Screening Room. This event will feature a screening of Ife Oluwamuyide’s film, “Ampe: Leap into the Sky, Black Girl”, followed by a Q&A and a closing reception.

Ife is a Nigerian-American visual artist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA in Printmaking and a minor in History of Art and Design and Art Education. Her work and practice focuses on reclaiming narrative power, drawing from the memories of her upbringing as a child in Columbus, Ohio.
