Building on the HASTAC 2023 Conference theme, “Critical Making & Social Justice,” this exhibition brings together artists and academics exploring themes of materiality, embodiment, and social embeddedness.

Their work spans physical and digital media, tactile and ephemeral experiences, across topics of gender, language, migration, ecologies, health, and digital culture, to name only a few. Within the exhibition, a collection of work—Creative Futures—features graduate students and early-career scholars presenting their research through visual, material, or otherwise creative means.
